Grand Maratha Foundation distributes essential items to help the underprivileged during lockdown
Grand Maratha Foundation (GMF), a non-governmental organization known for catering to the needs of farmers and their families across Maharashtra, is now distributing essential items to the under privileged amidst the national lockdown due to COVID-19 outbreak. GMF has been conducting this drive in various areas of Mumbai, Thane, Nagpur, Ambernath, Vada and Pandharkarwada regions of the state distributing essential items including rice, wheat flour, oil, toor dal, sugar, salt and other masalas. Expressing his views Mr. Rohit Shelatkar, Founder of Grand Maratha Foundation, said, “Grand Maratha Foundation has always been committed to taking care of the less privileged by providing them better amenities and education to ensure their development. At a situation when the nation is battling Coronavirus; we at Grand Maratha Foundation are putting all our efforts in reaching out to families in need and providing them with basic essentials. We appeal to every individual to help the needy during these tough times.” The distribution drive has been conducted in support with local political parties of the regions and there has been tremendous support from the citizens as well. Mrs. Madhavi Shelatkar, Trustee of Grand Maratha Foundation has been leading the activity in Maharashtra. GMF has also contributed to the CM relief fund to help the efforts made by the Government and our doctors to curb the spread of COVID 19.
