Marathi web series ‘#Samantar’, which was directed by #SatishRajwade was a runaway success. It’s based on a book of the same name by Suhas Shirwalkar. The sequel of the web series ‘Samantar-2’ is creating ripples in the marathi entertainment industry as it too has been getting massive support from the audiences. The second part has been directed ‘Anandi Gopal’ director, the film which bagged National award, Sameer Vidhwans who claims to have done justice to the the writing of Suhas Shirwalkar. “The producers, Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartk D Nishandar, gave me full freedom while directing ‘Samantar-2’”, says Sameer Vidwans.

After an outstanding success and record-breaking 200 million hits by viewers to its first season, Samantar-2, the second season of the Marathi web series has hit the screen with many added attractions. Superstars from the film industry Nitish Bhardwaj, Swapnil Joshi, Tejaswini Pandit, Sai Tamhankar are featured in the series based on the popular Marathi novel with the same name by noted author Suhas Shirwalkar. Samantar-2 is getting an overwhelming response on MX Player.

Sameer Vidwans, the director of the web series Samantar-2 has said that the challenges before him while directing it were multi-pronged as it was his first web series and to cope with the pandemic related difficulties was a task before him. The director has proudly said that he was happy that he could face them successfully with the help of his stars, co-crew members, and the freedom given by the producers Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartk D Nishandar of GSEAMS (Global Sports Entertainment and Media Solutions Private Limited).

Amid the overwhelming response being received to Samantar-2, Vidwans thanked both the producers of GSEAMS for the freehand they gave in the entire process. “Both Arjun Singgh Baran, Kartk D Nishandar and their production house value the quality and innovations. They never compromise on quality and are open to the new concepts, ideas and take every pain to see them executed. They give full freedom to their actors, directors, and crew members to evolve best out of them.”

Talking about the series, the director Sameer Vidwans said, “Samantar is a drama series which is full of thriller and mystery elements that prevail throughout the season. Samantar is an original Marathi series that was later dubbed in Hindi, Telugu as well as Tamil. We hope the second season raises its bar. We have shot the second season at various picturesque locations including Mumbai, Pune, Panchgani, Mahabaleshwar, Kolhapur and it has helped us in maintaining the genuine look of the series.”
