The social media influencer Sohail Shaikh feels that shooting for ads is fun but challenging as well!
Besides entertaining his fans with his concept-based videos and parodies, social media influencer and model Sohail Shaikh also did an ad recently for the brand Moj. He says that he would love to do many more. “I loved the experience. Before this, I have been part of social media promotions but have never done commercials as such,” says Sohail, who has worked with the likes of Hrithik Roshan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Riteish Deshmukh on many promotional videos for social media.
His ad has been loved by his fans. “It was telecast last night on Big Boss. It felt so amazing to see so many texts from fans right after. They loved me in the ad and many of them requested me to do more too,” he says.
The influencer feels that shooting for ads is fun but challenging as well. “A commercial is barely for 30 seconds and in that time, you need to convince the audience to buy the product you are endorsing. This can only be done by a great storyline and a strong performance. It is a true test of your craft,” he says. Ask him which is his favorite ad, and he says, “That would have to be the ones for 5 Star with Ramesh and Suresh! The concept was amazing. I loved to watch those and even now, I sometimes watch them on YouTube just for fun!”
