Travel enthusiast Harshali Zine reveals, ‘I’m also yearning to go to Leh Ladak, Kashmir’!
Every year, 25th January is observed in India as the #NationalTourismDay, an incredible practice to spread awareness of the importance for travelling and protecting nature. On the occasion, actress Harshali Zine known for the shows Hitler Didi, Do Hanson Ka Joda, Sasural Genda Phool has shared her favourite tourist spot in India. “India is a vast country. Each state in India is famous for different tourist attractions. India is rich in history and architecture, nature, spirituality and harmony, safaris, adventurous places, food, art and culture, shopping so it’s difficult to choose just one spot,” she said.
She loved the architecture of Ajanta and Ellora caves that she visited as a little girl. “I loved how the caves were carved from one giant rock. I loved the natural beauty of Himachal Pradesh when I visited Dharamshala and Shimla during my shoots,” she shared.
She also loved the Gir forest Safari that she took when she visited Somnath in Gujarat. “I savoured north Indian food when I visited different cities in north India like New Delhi, Punjab, Aligarh, Mathura, Agra and Himachal. I got to experience the art and culture of Gujarat when I lived in Ahmedabad for college, in fact, I was part of Gujarat tourism event when I got to meet our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi when he was chief minister of Gujarat,” she said.
The school treks in Matheran and Mahabaleshwar were super adventurous for her. “I also got to explore South Indian cities like Bangalore and a small town called Chitradurga in the outskirts of Bangalore. Hyderabad is a great city too. I equally enjoyed authentic south Indian food,” she said. She has explored almost all of India except the northeast. “I’m also yearning to go to Leh Ladak, Kashmir. I don’t think one lifetime is enough to explore entire India,” she said.
