Udit Kapur says, “Being on set every single day teaches you something new”!
‘#Fauji2’ actor Udit Kapur has been winning hearts with his exceptional portrayal of Cadet #ArjunNegi. As the series crosses the milestone of over a hundred episodes, Udit’s excitement and enthusiasm shine through, reflecting his deep connection with fans and his dedication to the role.
Talking about his experience, the actor shared, “When you put on a uniform, every little detail matters—how you walk, salute, and greet your seniors. It’s a world of discipline, and getting it right wasn’t easy.” Udit’s commitment to authenticity has not only left a mark on audiences but also transformed him personally and professionally.
For Udit, the journey began with a grueling physical transformation. “I was really bulky and muscular before, but I had to shed a lot of weight to look like a cadet. It was one of the most challenging aspects because the timeline was tight,” he recalls. Drawing from his defense background, Udit embraced the nuances of military life, but the physical demands of the role pushed him to his limits.
On set, Udit found daily growth as an actor. “Being on set every single day teaches you something new—whether it’s from other actors or from yourself. It’s a continuous process of learning and experimenting,” he says. As the series unfolds, Udit’s character has gained depth, a process he describes as deeply fulfilling. “Some of the recent scenes I’ve shot are very close to my heart. I gave my all to them, and I can’t wait for the audience to see.”
With ‘Fauji 2’ earning widespread acclaim, Udit credits the show for giving him recognition and new opportunities. “Fauji is a brand name, and people are excited about ‘Fauji 2’. That’s been really rewarding.” For Udit Kapur, the journey of a soldier has been as transformative off-screen as it is on. ‘Fauji 2’ currently airs on DD National.
