Vineet Kumar Singh reflects on his character ahead of Gangs of Wasseypur’s theatrical re-release!

As Gangs of Wasseypur series is set to re-release in theatres, one of it’s main actors Vineet Kumar Singh celebrates. Anurag Kashyap’s critically acclaimed ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ series is returning to the theatres on August 30, and the audiences will be able to enjoy the cult-classic till September 5. Renowned for its unflinching portrayal of crime and politics in the rural heartlands of India, the films, split into two parts, has earned a legendary status for its compelling storytelling, memorable dialogues, and exceptional performances.

While the film featured epic star cast, including Manoj Bajpayee, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Pankaj Tripathi among others, Vineet Kumar Singh left a lasting impact with his portrayal of Danish Khan. The actor’s prowess as a performer took centre stage in the film, paving way for more strong characters.

Recently, Vineet Kumar Singh expressed his excitement and joy over the re-release. “Reliving the magic of this film on the big screen is going to be an unforgettable experience. The ‘Mukkabaaz’ actor further shared, “Playing Danish Khan was exhilarating. He’s a character full of contradictions. Anurag Kashyap’s vision for ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ was bold and revolutionary. The way he crafted the narrative and allowed us to explore our characters in depth was truly remarkable. Being part of this project has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career.”

Vineet is currently basking in the rave reviews he received for his performance in ‘Ghuspaithiya’. He has an interesting line-up of releases this year, including ‘Rangeen’ and ‘Superboys of Malegoan’. He will also be seen in Sunny Deol-starrer ‘SDGM’, which is being touted as a pan Indian actioner.
