Virag Madhumalati receives Global Nagpur Award at the hands of Union Minister Hon. Shri Nitin Gadkari!
With 5 Guinness Book of World Record in the field of music under his belt, Artist Shri. #ViragMadhumalati was honored with #GlobalNagpurAward under Arts and Culture category at the hands of Union Minister Hon. Shri Nitin Gadkari, at a ceremony organized by Nagpur First Foundation. The program was organized to honor eminent personalities from various fields.
With engineering education background, artist Virag Madhumalati has 5 Guinness World Records to his credit and has also implemented various enlightening initiatives. In order to emphasize importance of Eye Donation, he had blinded himself with cloth strip for 100 days and created huge awareness about eye donation through speaking to people. He has always said that he has dedicated his entire life for creation of awareness about Organ Donation.
At the Global Nagpur Award Ceremony, a total of *17 personalities* in various fields were honored at the hands of Union Minister Hon. Shri Nitin Gadkari. Shri Virag Madhumalati was one of them. Present on this auspicious occasion were Mr. Ajay Sancheti, MP Rajya Sabha, Nagpur Mayor Mr. Dayashankar Tiwari, Divisional Commissioner Smt. Prajakta Verma, Ami. Deshpande (Co-founder, President System), Nidhi Pundhir (Director, HCL) and executives of Nagpur First Foundation, namely Hakimuddin Ali, Dinesh Jain, Amit Waykar, Sachin Jahagirdar, Aniket Jha, Hemant Lodha, Faiz Wahid, Tanveer Mirza and others.
In order to take the concept of Organ Donation to maximum number of people and with a singular focus, a dedicated person Virag would be going underwater with 60 Kg weight on his chest and keeping resonance with notes and rhythm, he will be singing for not just a couple of minutes but for one full hour with lilting music. Virag is getting ready for this Underwater singing performance. Virag is going to produce Sangeet Ka Mahasagar, which would be worlds thickest book with 2 Lakh pages consisting of 17 lakh musical Alankaars created by himself over the years. The book will be 40 feet high that would equal 4 floors of a building.
