The sequel to the rib-tickling Eddie Murphy-Arsenio Hall starrer 1988 comedy revolves around an African Monarch Akeem who learns about his long-lost son in the United States. He must return to America to meet this unexpected and rightful heir and build a relationship with his son who is now all grown up.

Directed by Livtar Singh, the Punjabi film focuses on a young Punjabi couple who do not reveal their relationship to their parents.
