In lieu of the same, we’re happy to be able to share with you quotes from actor Prakash Raj who lent his voice for the Tamil and Telugu version of the film as well as the producers of the film, Award-winning filmmakers Amoghavarsha JS and Kalyan Varma
Prakash Raj on ‘Wild Karnataka’ winning ‘Best Exploration Film’ at the 67th National Film Awards for the year 2019, “Being a part of the vision that brought to life the ‘Wild Karnataka’ documentary was truly a beautiful experience. A culmination of four years and almost 500 hours of footage, it was an absolute pleasure to be the voice, narrating this extraordinary story in my language, Tamil and Telugu, of the exquisite outback of Karnataka, one of the last places in the world where big wild animals can roam safely. I’ve always loved nature, it’s something that keeps me rooted which made me proud to have been a part of this project and I’m grateful to the Discovery team for trusting me to be its voice. Also to now have this wonderful film be a part of discovery+ as well, means that more audiences across India will have a chance to discover and enjoy this incredible film. I congratulate the producers, award-winning filmmakers Amoghavarsha JS and Kalyan Varma on this fantastic win at the 67th National Film Awards. Being able to be a part of stories that are so unique and distinct and then watching the country appreciate it as much as we do is a joy unlike any other”
Producers of ‘Wild Karnataka’ Award-winning filmmakers Amoghavarsha JS and Kalyan Varma on their win at the 67th National Film Awards, “We couldn’t be more thrilled to have won ‘Best Exploration Film’ at the 67th National Film Awards, it is a true testament of the resonance within the beautiful stories nature has to tell and is a tribute to the efforts of the Karnataka forest department as well as the people of the state. A project which took us almost four years to create, we’re so glad that this labour of love, has found a special place with audiences across the country. From a theatrical release to finding a home for our film on the Discovery Channel to now being able to bring the wondrous wildlife of Karnataka to a larger audience with discovery+, our journey with ‘Wild Karnataka’ has been as special as the film itself.”
