World television premiere of ‘Fatehshikast’ to be aired on Zee Talkies
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was one of the most courageous and eminent rulers. Chhatrapati Maharaj has a firm place in the hearts of the people. He was not only the founder of Swarajya but also a remarkable king and a true-brave soldier. Directed by Digpal Lanjekar, Fatehshikast is based on one of the battles fought by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Zee Talkies is to hold world television premiere of the same on 16th August, ‘20.
Fatehshikst is based on a unique battle with the Mughals in Pune. While Shahistekhan was encamped in Pune, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj attacked the Red Palace in Pune with the help of a handful of Mavalas and cut off the fingers of Shahistekhan. The attack was not just a saga of heroism but a slap in the face to the mighty Mughal army. The incident is seen as the first ‘surgical strike’ in India. Mrinal Kulkarni, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Anup Soni, Ankit Mohan, Mrunmayee Deshpande have won the hearts of the audience with their authentic historical portrayals. The music composed by Devdutt Manisha Baji and the songs based on the abhangas of Saint Tukaram enchant the audience.
