World television premiere of sex comedy ‘Takatak’ on Zee Talkies

Dada Kondke’s double-meaning dialogues were a rage in Maharashtra, once upon a time. Now Marathi cinema has gone a little further and turned to the sex comedy genre.  But in Maharashtra, where the word ‘sex’ is taboo, ‘Takatak’, a sex comedy film, received a huge response and testified that Dada Kondke’s tradition will continue. Takatak is a slang in marathi language which loosely means highly pleasing, delightful, delectable etc.

Released in 2019, ‘Takatak’ was a box office hit.  He also won many awards by entertaining the audience. The movie has been the talk of the town since its trailer and poster were out. One of the romantic songs in the film was also well received. In the movie Takatak, the audience got to see the romantic song ‘Yeh Chandrala’ starring Abhijit Amkar and Pranali Bhalerao, which was loved. The hotness of actress Pranali Bhalerao and her sexy gyrations put the theatre on fire. The song sung by Shruti Rane has got over 1 crore views on YouTube.

Directed by Milind Kavade, the film falls into sex comedy genre. The number of such films in Marathi is very low. Therefore, winning the hearts of the audience was important, which the film did. It did well at the box office. Once again it can be viewed on small screen now. Zee Talkies will present the world television premiere of ‘Takatak’ on July 26 at 12 noon and 6 pm.
