Zee Theatre revives the legacy of classic Indian literature with its anthology of dramatic readings ‘Koi Baat Chale’ which will now present two stories penned by iconic writer Munshi Premchand. Directed by well-known television, theatre and film actor and director Seema Pahwa, ‘Idgah’ and ‘Gulli Danda’ will be narrated by Vinay Pathak and Vivaan Shah, respectively. The stories imbued with Premchand’s distinctive humanity and deep insight about friendship, social inequities and surpassing empathy and generosity are still as relevant as when they were first written. While ‘Idgah’ is about a young child’s compassion for his grandmother, ‘Gulli Danda’ is about a timeless friendship that transcends social divides.
