Zee Theatre’s popular teleplay ‘Yeh Shaadi Nahi Ho Sakti’ reimagines Shakespeare’s classic comedy ‘The Taming of the Shrew’ with a desi twist. It tells the tale of a lovelorn couple Lakshman and Priya who can’t get married because Priya’s elder sister refuses to get hitched and clear the way for them. A desperate Lakshman then devises a plan and introduces a prospective NRI groom to Pallavi. He even hires a drunk actor to pass off as his own father but soon the scheme backfires and many complications arise. Find out if the two couples find their happily ever after and get married in a big fat Indian wedding.

The teleplay is directed by Akarsh Khurana and stars Prajakta Koli, Chaitanya Sharma, Adhaar Khurana, Akash Khurana, Shikha Talsania, Gopal Datt, Aseem Hattangady, Siddharth Kumar, Pawan Uttam, Sarthak Kakkar and Lisha Bajaj.
