What’s different in Baaghi 3 than it’s previous instalments?
Emotions. Baaghi franchise has always been action oriented. So Baaghi 3
also has super action but it’s laced with pure emotions. The film has shown
strong bondage between siblings. The emotional quotient gives action some
purpose. Though it’s based on Tamil film Vettai, of course we have official
rights, the second half is completely different. The high octane action is loved
by everyone.
Baaghi franchise deals in action. Since your Baaghi 2 was appreciated for
action, was there any pressure for this one ?
Yes. There definitely was pressure. Baaghi 2 had great action so the question
was ‘Isme Naya Kya Karenge?’ But we Indians love pressure. We do not study
for the whole year and during exam time we study day and night. Actually we
are well trained to tackle stress. On a serous note, I started designing action
well in advance. Baaghi 2 had 2 choppers, so Baaghi 3 has 3 helicopters. We
have used locally made Chinook choppers so our people should know about
it. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala supported me to the hilt. Talking of action, since
I design it myself I appoint action directors who are on same page with
me. Baaghi 3 has action directors from Thailand, India, Serbia. A lot of
people are saying that it matches action from Hollywood films. Actually
our action is real action as compared to Green Screen action of western
films. Also our heroes do most of the stunts on their own. Heroes like
Tiger (Shroff), Vidhyut (Jhamwal), Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar,
Hrithik (Roshan), all have splendid physiques, do real high level
action in films, ‘Achcha lagta hai’, our heroes are giving ‘Takkar’ to
Hollywood action stars.
Tell us something about Tiger’s acting and dancing...Also kids
love Tiger’s action.
Tiger has grown tremendously as an actor. He is constantly
