Whatever I have achieved so far is mainly because of their
support. Also I feel blessed that I receive so much love from
my fans. Audience support and love is extremely essential
for an actor to grow. I am happy and grateful.
Have you thought of returning to television ?
I was doing a show which ran for six years. Everyday I
used to be on the sets. After it was over I took a long gap
and wanted to relax. On television you get to play a single
character and now I want to play different characters.
So the answer is No, for now. If it doesn’t work out for
me in films, then I can explore that option.
How do you deal with adverse comments on
personal life on social media ?
It doesn’t affect me, now. Earlier it used to hurt me,
mainly because of my parents asking questions.
Now they understand the futility of these trolls.
Trollers do their job, write and I do mine, ignore !
You started your career with Ekta Kapoor who is
producing films now. How come you are not part
of her films ?
Please tell her to cast me. (Laughs). I know if
there’s anything suitable for me she’ll offer me
something and I’ll never say no to her.
Do you have any preferences like big banners,
small banners?
Absolutely no. I only want to do good work and
entertain. I am prepared to put in hard work
whether it’s big banner or small.
Incidentally Ankita Lokhande’s next will have
her playing a lead role which’ll be out around
May ‘20. ‘Wait for it’ is the only answer she
gave before signing off. n
